Ornithology Trust Fund
This fund, established in 2003, allows for interested public and private donors to provide a tax-deductible gift to the University of North Carolina Wilmington to support ornithological research in North Carolina and the local region. Funds in this trust will be used to support student research for small projects for which other funding sources are not available. These projects include studies of local shorebirds and seabirds, ESPECIALLY ROYAL TERNS, an indicator species for marine and estuarine health along our coastline. The fund is managed by UNCW and Dr. Steve Emslie.
